All ingredients and food are processed according to McDonald’s Gold Standards which detail strict requirements for quality, appearance, taste, texture and food safety.
Careful Selection of Suppliers:
All suppliers must have international food safety and quality system certification and pass McDonald’s strict assessment procedures. They are required to abide by McDonald’s SQMS (Supplier Quality Management System).
Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
All imported products must comply with both the legal food production and export regulations of the country of origin as well as the food safety regulations for importing food into Hong Kong.
Strengthened Self-Monitoring System:
On top of employing our own set of strict supplier selection procedures, McDonald’s also appoints a third-party internationally recognized inspection organization to conduct sample tests. We also use a third-party internationally recognized inspection organization to conduct random inspections.
"If It’s Not Right, Don’t Serve It" Policy:
All restaurant staff are trained in food safety.
Reinforcement of Timely Communication with the Public:
Same as our customers, McDonald’s is highly concerned towards food safety. We will stand firm by food safety and stringently monitor our suppliers and the ingredients as always, and that we will discontinue the use of any ingredient found with problem and make public announcement in a timely manner.
