At McDonald's®, we adhere strictly to the most stringent hygiene and cleanliness standards. It is our regular practice to ensure that all our staff to do the following
Sterilizing the kitchen utensils once every 4 hours
Cleaning the restaurant and working station tables' surfaces with clean and sterilized towels
Washing their hands at least once per hour
Wearing facemasks for those who work in kitchens
Implementing colour coded glove rules to avoid cross-contamination: wearing blue gloves for handling raw ingredients and transparent gloves for handling ready-to-eat food
Thoroughly sterilizing the Shakes and Sundae machines regularly
As for our restaurants, every day we use various different disinfectants, each tailored to specific needs, to sterilize our staff's hands, their cooking utensils and the restaurant environment. We also check our air conditioning systems regularly to ensure good, constant circulation of fresh air. Of course, we haven't forgotten you, our customers – there are sanitizing hand gel dispensers at the entrances or lobbies of all our restaurants.
By taking these proactive steps, we can make sure that everyone who works and eats in our restaurants can be confident in their health and safety.
