Rich coffee crema is what gives McCafé® coffee its distinctive aroma. And by making sure no coffee beans are kept in the tray longer than four hours after leaving their foil packaging, we ensure that the coffee stays fresh.
Every one of our baristas has undergone at least 400 hours of professional training, so you can rest assured they’ll brew you an excellent cup of rich, tasty coffee.
Flown in specially from Mexico, Peru and Ethiopia; our 100% Cocoa Tazza coffee beans are grown at altitude to be of the highest quality. Deep roasting brings out its delicious coffee flavour: from a rich and balanced aroma, to a mellow mouth feel, and a delightful finish.
McCafé baristas always check the quality of our coffee before McCafé opens in the morning. One test is to spray white sugar on the crema on an Espresso coffee – if the sugar sinks through the crema within 5 seconds, it means there isn’t enough crema. All McCafé cups are kept at between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit so that they do not affect the taste and temperature of your coffee.
McCafé Hot Chocolates are served with 2 marshmallows. They add a soft and sweet taste to the comforting warmth of chocolate.
Every year at McCafé, we hold a Barista Competition so that our coffee experts can show off their flair for coffee making. Each section of the competition follows the rules of the World Barista Championship and allows our baristas to create their own favorite coffee.
